Special Guacamole

This is a great way to cut down on the fat in regular Guacamole. Instead of adding an additional avocado, you substitute it with green peas! It tastes bang on to higher fat guacamole, and it is a great way to cut the calories/ fat while still enjoying a creamy dip.

Ingredients (Makes enough for 4-6):
1 avocado, peeled, pitted
1 cup cooked green peas
1/4 cup chopped fresh tomato
2 tablespoons cilantro (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped onion
2 teaspoons fresh lemon or lime juice
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1-2 minced garlic cloves
3/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or more or less, depending on how spicy you like it)
Salt and Pepper to taste

- Blend all ingredients together until smooth, OR mash to desired consistency. Enjoy!

  1. Yum?! I never thought to add soy sauce either! I stir corn into my guacamole. It's delicious.

  2. I wonder what it would taste like to blend the corn in alongside the other ingredients? I should try that!
