Barbecue Tofu Merry-nade.

This is a good one to try out for those of you who love barbecue. These tofu are even better when you actually barbecue them, or put them in the ol' George Foreman grill. Adam says this is his favorite flavor for tofu, so that's saying a lot. Be sure to check out how to properly prepare tofu on the recipe below this one.

Ingredients (makes about 8 portions)
:
1 (16 ounce) package extra firm tofu, "prepared"
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 dash hot sauce
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon chopped garlic (about one big clove)
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring (this is important)

1) Mix all of the ingredients for the marinade together and pour them over tofu in a large tupperware container. Let the tofu marinade for as long as you can (at least 3 hours).

2) Grill the tofu for about 4 minutes each side. The tofu should look brown and crisp on the outside, but not black and burnt. Enjoy!
