Spiced Coffee

I have this coffee almost every morning. It can be made two ways, one that can be sugarless, and one with sugar. Both methods create a delicious, spicy coffee, that carries the same flavor notes as an apple or pumpkin pie. If you want to make it into a 'real' treat, top it with some vegan whipped cream!

Ingredients (makes 4-5 mugs):
1/2 cup sugar (for method #1)
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups brewed coffee
Vegan whipped cream (optional)

Method #1 (Sweeter treat)
1) Place sugar, water, and spices in a small saucepan and stir over medium heat until sugar has broken down and it begins to bubble. Add vanilla. Pour equally into 4 cups of coffee, stirring and preparing however you like. Top with Vegan whipped cream, if using. Enjoy!

Method #2 (Standard cup o' Joe)
1) Place spices on top of coffee in coffee maker. Brew normally, and the coffee maker will do all of the work for you! Add sugar, milk/ cream as desired. Enjoy!
