This is a healthy, delicious, new way to eat grapefruit. My husband and I are big dessert people, and have a REALLY bad sweet tooth, so I am always on the lookout for healthier options that will still satisfy.
Ingredients (enough for 2):
1 ruby red grapefruit, cut in half and the individual pieces sectioned (so the you are able to scoop them out with a spoon)
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tblsp brown sugar
1) Mix seasonings and sugar together in a small bowl. After the grapefruit has been sectioned, divide the sugar mixture, sprinkling it on top of the halves.
2) Broil on high for about 8 minutes (or until the sugar begins to caramelize). Enjoy on its own, or with your favorite soycream.
